Conceptual Research Corporation’s Flying Missile Rail is a jet-powered UAV which converts an AIM-120 LAU-129 rail launcher into a robotic wingman for the F-16. It weighs under 1500 lbs and fits on the F-16 store station (3/7). The F-16 pilot can launch the AIM-120 release the entire FMR to perform missions ranging from simple missile range extension to sophisticated dogfight maneuvers. The FMR can be built with a small turbojet engine for best performance or with a low-cost pulsejet.
